How FarmScout keeps its listings accurate

FarmScout lists 14,436 farms, farm stands, farmers markets, u-picks, orchards, vineyards and farm stores in 50 states, and every one of them is verified and dated. Updated November 2026.

Verified before it appears

A listing is not published because it appears in a directory. Every new farm, stand or market is checked first - that it is open to the public, that it sells where it says it does, and that the pin lands on a real street address. Anything uncertain goes to review; nothing is published from a guess.

Dated so you know before you go

• 2,421 listings were updated or re-verified in the last 30 days, 4,890 in the last 90.
• Every "what's in season" line and every event in the app shows the date it was observed.
• Listings that go quiet are re-checked and marked closed for the season or removed.

Run by the farms themselves

Any farm or market can claim its listing free and post its own products, hours and events. 84 listings are run directly by the farm or market, and that number grows every week.
